A leaning fence almost always traces back to a failed post. We dig out the broken post, set a new one in concrete, and re-attach rails and pickets so the run is straight and solid again instead of patched.
Gates take the most abuse. We rebuild sagging gates with anti-sag bracing, replace worn hinges with heavy-duty hardware, and adjust the latch so it closes with one hand — every time.
Once repairs are complete, we can stain or seal the fence to protect the wood from Las Vegas UV, which is what dries out and cracks untreated boards within a couple of seasons.
Two failure points dominate valley fences: dry-rotted or wind-racked wood panels, and gate posts that have loosened in decomposed granite soil. We reset posts in fresh concrete rather than shimming them, because a shimmed post is back on the to-do list within a season.
Block wall damage is different work — we can re-mortar loose caps and patch spalling, but a leaning or cracked structural wall goes to a masonry contractor.
